Have you ever bought a bag of supposed 'chronic', sinsemilla, or otherwise seedless marijuana and found three or four seeds, and felt a little ripped off? Well maybe ripped off is the furthest from the truth. Many professional marijuana growers won't sell a bag with any seeds in it because they are trying to protect their valuable high quality strains. If you find a couple of seeds in otherwise high quality marijuana, look at it as silver lining, not as a bunk bag. What to do if you found some good seeds, follow the laws set by your local gestapo

Eighty percent of a plant's makeup is determined by environment, so don't get caught up in risky online schemes to get seeds. Don't worry too much about the seeds. As long as you keep the males out of your crop, and properly take care of your plants, you will have great sinsemilla. Marijuana seeds in some states are counted as individual charges, so be careful about the laws if you intend to grow.

It is pointless to buy thousands of seeds, because even great marijuana seeds will grow males. Your best chances are to get ten or so seeds, let them grow, take good care of them, then clone the best one. Ideally the best way to get marijuana seeds is to germinate your own plants to your specifications. This might be a little bit difficult because you have to have a male plant.

It is easy when picking a female plant to breed, the obvious things to look for are high potency and resilience. Male plants typically have less THC than female plants do, people overlook healthy characteristics in picking a father plant because they do not know what to look for in a dad. Some things you would want from a male plant are dense-flower sacks on almost every inter-node, vigorous thick stalks, short and stubby leaves, evenly spaced leaves (alternate arranged rakus). You do not want to bread a female plant with a male with unevenly spaced leaves up the stalk, because when you harvest you want machine form to make it easier for you, and as the plant is growing the light will reach into the plant more evenly. Also you want males with a think woody base and vigorous growth.

The problem with having male plants is the risk of inadvertently pollinating your females. Separating males and females is what makes sinsemilla seedless.

When buying marijuana seeds, even with so called 'feminized' seeds, there is no real guarantee that one, or even most of them, won't be males, or worse - hard to detect hermaphrodites. Many experienced marijuana growers even claim that the seeds produced by a hermaphrodite plant will be naturally feminized seeds, but this is a highly disputed theory with no real scientific backing. The logic goes like this: plants turn hermaphrodite when there are no males, because the plants want to reproduce, and if there are no males they will create them (like some frogs go from one sex to another as needed).

Some people claim that hermaphrodite created marijuana seeds create hermaphrodite offspring seeds. Due to the very nature of fertilization, the shuffling and stacking of chromatids, and the many other random environmental factors that can determine the sex of marijuana seeds, there is no guarantee that your marijuana seeds will all be females.

It is always dangerous having a male plant, but I am a believer that the mighty marijuana plant is similar to the willow, meaning they communicate through airborne chemicals, undetectable to humans. Willows are able to detect chemical markers in the air from another willow nearby that is being eaten, and willows instantly responds with increased toxicity circulating within its phloem. Because the research on marijuana is so limited by legal restrictions, there is no way to prove this through studies that are not aloud. In my opinion, keeping a male marijuana plant with the females during the vegetative cycle will keep the female plants from turning to hermaphrodites. Just be sure to remove it before reducing light, or before the plants start to flower.

At any rate save your seeds, there is a war on against these plants and its up to the few people, the piece loving, government fearing few to keep quality family lines alive. The opposition will threaten you with guns, jail, fines and lost of liberty to stay in their positions of power weather its right or wrong. Are best records is to save our quality seeds in time capsules out in the sticks with know claim to fame or names attached. Just quality marijuana seeds that will hopefully be found by future generations long after our historical government has calmed down a bit and starts making a bit more since.
